Terms and conditions
This S8RL does not have a full automatic webshop because this is a very small company. Secondly the S8RL likes personal contact and likes to know who we are dealing with. If you want your films to get developed, if you want to order filmstock or maybe both, please send an email or call S8RL.
- Current super8 colour and black/white reversal films are developed in 2 to 4 weeks time [this in not a guaranty].
- Add 1 to 2 weeks extra for 16mm reversal films.
- Current super8 colour negative films are developed in 2 to 4 weeks time [this in not a guaranty].
- The processing of outdated films (which expiration date has passed, for example Agfa MovieChrome, Boots, FujiChrome, Revue or Orwo) is done on a volume basis, and can take up to 14 to 20 weeks [this is not a guaranty].
- If you receive a pre-paid sticker for processing (and transfer) it will be valid for 1 year without extra charge.
- It is not possible to exchange a pre-paid sticker for money or goods.
- The digitization of super8 films is outsourced and done in Amsterdam or Waddinxveen, S8RL will send your processed films to our partners via FedEx. You hereby accept that we only replace the same amount of films when your films are lost or disappear by FedEx.
- You accept all risks involved by film processing if you continue.
- Please understand this motion film processing lab runs about 12 different processes. The amount of work and the increasing number of different emulsions makes it difficult to predict an exact turn-around time. If you have send a mix of emulsions be aware the turn-around time will increase. The lab will do its best to keep all turn-around times as short as possible.
- The S8RL works only by appointment. This is the standard procedure:
- Contact the S8RL first for details regarding specific delivery times and total assignment cost.
- Send your film with an order confirmation and use our order form.
- Pay the amount after the lab has received your film via the bank account or Paypal.
- All processed films will be returned with the invoice as soon as possible, and only after receipt of your payment. It is possible to pay via a QR code when you collect your film in person, after making an appointment.
- It is not possible to pay by card.
- All developed films can be edited onto larger reels for additional €1.00 for each 15 meter reel, excluding the cost for the large reels. A long start and end leader film for the transfer is included.
- All express assignments b&w and colour, can be processed within 2 workdays if you bring and collect the film yourself, 5 days a week. It takes three to 4 days by express courier service. All express services should be paid in advance. The express service is not possible for Kodachrome.
- Always contact the S8RL before you send your film, or want to visit the lab.
- The S8RL does not accept responsibility for faults or mistakes that might occur during transport.
- Send an email and explain as best as you can what films you would like to get developed (brand, type and amount), transferred or what you like to buy.
- Assignments will be returned after the lab has received you’re full payment.
- All assignments have to confirmed by a written paper, we kindly ask you to fill in our order form and send that with your films to the lab.
- Don’t forget to mention who you are, and what company you might work for.
- Send you’re full address details. If the lab can’t read you’re letter or e-mails we can’t help you.
- The S8RL has no regular opening hours like shops. You are welcome to visit us but by appointment only. Send an mail to make an appointment. Do not visit the lab with an appointment.
- By giving an assignment you automatically agree with the general conditions.
- Make sure you read the general conditions, especially when you want to get films processed.
- All prices are excluding 21% V.A.T..
