Dotan – Amsterdam (official video)

Dutch artist Dotan has made a music video for his single ‘Amsterdam’, shot entirely on super8 Kodak Vision and Kodak Ektachrome. The S8RL developed all the original super8 films for this music video. The digitising was done at friend Onno Petersen’s place.
Dotan writes about ‘Amsterdam’; “I travelled through the city with my Super 8 camera to capture the beauty of Amsterdam in summer. Every corner has a memory and a simple walk through the streets can open up a world of emotions for me. Cheers to Amsterdam”.
This video is a collaboration by Dotan with Josien van Oostveen.
Musician Dotan is known for his monster hit ‘Home’ with more than 14 million views on YouTube. The song was used in the Netflix serie ‘True Spirit’.
For those interested is super8 technique. You can recognize that it is colour negative film if you see a black perforation hole, and Ektachrome film if you see a white perforation hole.
