Celluloid and nothing but
19 Jun 2010
Until 29th August 2010 you can visit a very interesting exhibition about the celluloid film material in Frankfurt, Germany. In the Shirn-Kunsthalle only image matters! This show has a subtitle ‘film making without a camera’ and it shows how artists have experimented from the beginning of the film to make movies without the use of a camera. What they did use was pencils to draw straight onto the film, or paint, or charcoal, or printing techniques and many other simple ways just to create images, and nothing else than images. Everybody who has warm feelings for the abstract film making is almost obligated to visit Frankfurt before the 29th of August.
